Hydro Cooling

Hydro Cooling Miners

Closed-loop water cooling · Lower noise · Higher density

Hydro-cooled BITMAIN rigs deliver 30-40% lower noise than air-cooled equivalents, with tighter thermal envelopes enabling higher over-clock potential. Best for office-adjacent and high-density deployments where every decibel matters.

Hydro Cooling Miners
01 What is hydro cooling vs air cooling for ASIC miners?
Hydro cooling uses water-cooled heat pipes and copper plates directly attached to ASIC chips. Water removes heat 4x faster than air, allowing lower chip temperatures (60°C vs 85°C for air). This enables 5-10% higher hashrate per watt, reduces noise by 70% (no fans), and extends fan/PSU lifespan. Hydro is ideal for hot climates where air cooling struggles.
02 Do I need a chiller for hydro mining?
Not necessarily. In temperate climates (20-25°C ambient), simple radiator heat exchange is sufficient. For hot climates (30°C+), a 10-15 kW chiller per 100 kW mining load is recommended. We offer chillers from Liebert, APC, and specialized hydro-cooling brands like AsicminerMarket. Our hosting facilities already have redundant chillers and backup cooling towers.
03 What coolant do you recommend?
For closed-loop hydro systems: distilled water + 30% ethylene glycol antifreeze (auto-grade) prevents freezing and corrosion. Add corrosion inhibitor (copper-friendly) for long-term use. For immersion-compatible hydro rigs: use single-phase immersion fluids. Flush system every 6-12 months; replace fluid every 2-3 years. We sell coolant at wholesale pricing.
04 How noisy are hydro miners compared to air-cooled?
Significantly quieter. Air-cooled 200 TH/s ASICs produce 75-85 dB (industrial equipment). Hydro miners produce 45-55 dB (air conditioner level) because pumps and chillers are the main noise sources, not 100mm fans. Hydro is suitable for residential areas or noise-restricted zones, unlike air-cooled farms which often face noise complaints.
05 Can hydro miners be deployed in hot climates?
Yes, hydro is designed for hot climates. Our S21 XP Hyd (473 TH/s) and S23 Hyd (580 TH/s) are factory-sealed hydro units rated for 35-45°C ambient. With adequate chiller capacity, they operate continuously even in 40°C+ environments. Our hosting facilities in Texas, Dubai, and Ethiopia all use hydro cooling with redundant chillers.
